James and Sharon Ward
James and Sharon Ward are the founding pastors of INSIGHT Church and America’s Zero Victim Pastors. They have been married for 26 years and have two children, along with one outstanding daughter in-love. With an Apostolic Legacy of Pastors Carlton and Sheila Arthurs, Founding Pastors of Wheaton Christian Center. Along with Dr. Robb and Linda Thompson, Founding Pastors of Family Harvest Church our roots go deep. INSIGHT Church is known for boldly communicating the Bible and preparing people for the Day of the Lord.

What we believe
Our vision for INSIGHT Church is simple. We exist to see all people experience the joy and blessing of right relationship with God, through His Son Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
- Our aim is to make and train followers of Jesus Christ and build strong families, by UNDERSTANDING, EMBRACING, and DOING God’s Word, preparing people for the Day of the Lord.
Our Cause
- Understanding the lateness of the hours and the urgency of the times in which we live, our aim is to bring individuals and their families into the “ark” of safety, by discipling them into the life of Christ and the Kingdom of God.
Our Values
- We value our families esteeming them to be our first priority in ministry. We believe according to Scripture that our families should serve together as a reflection of our faith, and are not to suffer at the expense of our faith (Jn. 19:27; 1 Tim. 5:8). Members of the INSIGHT community are encouraged to worship together as families when possible, functioning as the church in miniature.
- We value our bodies realizing that they are the temples of the Lord and that we are only stewards, not owners (1 Cor. 6:19). We believe according to Scripture that God is responsible for DIVINE HEALTH as well as DIVINE HEALING (Ex. 15:26; Isa. 53:5; Acts 9:34). Members of the INSIGHT community are encouraged to practice discretion, temperance, and discipline in all areas of life, and to maintain an active lifestyle.
- We value diversity in culture and ethnicity, and reconciliation. We believe according to Scripture that the Church on earth should be ‘as it is in heaven’, as an expression of God’s manifold wisdom and copious creativity…That heavenly citizenship is superior to, and inclusive of all earthly cultures and ethnic groups (Acts 17:26-27; Rev. 5:9). Members of the INSIGHT community are encouraged to intentionally seek to appreciate and embrace other cultures and ethnic groups, especially the Jewish community and nation of Israel.
The beliefs of

“Insight” is the apprehension of the true nature of something. In a culture that is increasingly becoming biblically illiterate, while simultaneously celebrating pluralistic religious ideas concerning truth, concise teaching of God’s Word is perhaps more critical now than ever before.
As we continue to face unprecedented global, economic, social, racial, and cultural challenges, the leaders of INSIGHT still believe that our only hope is insight into the Scriptures, and that God’s Word is timelessly relevant for today’s generation.“
